Start with what you can see.
Leaks can come from pipe joints, valves, taps, toilet connections or waste fittings. A damp cupboard or water around a fitting may have more than one possible cause, so it’s important to investigate before deciding what to repair.
I investigate and repair suitable domestic plumbing leaks. Tell me where the water is appearing, whether the leak is constant or happens during use, and whether the affected pipework is accessible. I don’t claim specialist non-invasive detection equipment or a guaranteed result before assessing the job.
Common jobs I can discuss
- Visible leaking pipework and accessible joints
- Leaks around taps and plumbing connections
- Water around toilet connections
- Leaking sink wastes and traps
- Replacing suitable damaged or worn fittings
What to expect
Access matters. Concealed pipework may need further investigation or another specialist. I’ll discuss any access requirements and the proposed repair with you, rather than promising that every leak can be fixed without disturbing the surrounding area.
